DC Vs Vans?
29/06/2009 @ 19:36:37
Hey all, thinking about buying some boots from this season rather than wait till september. I've been looking at DC and Vans mostly and wondered if anyone could shed some light on the comparison.
Thanks

I'v not ridden in Vans but have in DC's, Had a pair of DC (something i forgotten) BOA's this season, they were good but a little bulky, and it depends how much your gonna ride, mine lasted the season but barely, the warped quite a bit by the end, adjustable liners was pretty kool tho.
if you have big feet just be weary of the bulky thing as it may cause u some toe drag or might not fit into ur bindings right if not checked first...
most importantly get boots that FIT!
hope that helped,
Mike

very good point
To answer this question,i have a pair of dc judge and also a pair of vans cirro.
For me the vans are a far better fitting boot and the heel lift that i get with the dc boots does not happen with the cirros. The boots if i recall weigh about the same but if it was my choice i`d buy the cirro. The bladder system in the dc boots is a good idea but i feel the double boa system in the vans boots works better for me.
one other point is that the van boots do tend to pack out abit so aslong as you makesure you get a decent fit to begin with.I have had used my cirros boots for around 4 wks now and they are still a good fit and feel as new.
as said always buy the boots that fit and altho you might not get the boots you were after is better to have a decent fitting boot that is not going to give blisters/heel lift or generally anything that makes your rideing difficult.........put it this way if you went away for a wk and managed to get blisters on your first day this could ruin the rest of the week,so i`d just but the best fiting boot that you can buy or find
