Arrived home last night after a final joint to Champery for this season. Had just over 2 weeks out there so can't complain. It started with a dump the night before we arrived so had to find my powder legs with around 50cm of fresh in places. The sun had come out so the remainder of the trip became quite spring like.
On the Saturday I arranged to meet up with Keith (djshawk) at the top of the Mossettes chair which borders the French and Swiss areas. Keith had said that he wanted to do one more trip over to Abondance before the season finished and that we would rack up the piste miles and also give the legs a work out, especially as over 80% of the lifts would be drags. We met up at around 10:30 and rode down to Morgins, crossed the road and headed up towards Torgon and then Abondance. Once above Abondance we headed back to Torgon stopping for a view of Lake Geneva. We then rode to Chatel, stopping for a nice lunch of Panini and chips before jumping on the bus to Linga. Then it was a short ride up towards Chaux Fleurie and then down to the Lindarets area, before we made our separate ways. A quick blast down the Mossettes black run and the slush puppy that is Planachaux and back down the teleripherique into Champery. It was a great mile bashing day.
My final day was Monday, where a storm had rolled in with rain in the village and snow up top. The webcams made horrible viewing. I went up for an afternoon bash and got soaked to the bone with wet snow, but as there were very few people up there I had quite a blast in the wet pow that was up there. A great end to the season, if a wet one!

I guess the clue is in the title - spoof.
Nonsense; tomfoolery. A hoax. A gentle satirical imitation; a light parody. |

| Your comment confuses me. If you're refering to it being bad acting, etc, it's a 'spoof' music video that's supposed to be bad and cheesy. Check out last seasons and you'll see a running theme. |

To answer all your questions. It was feckin weird after 9 years of not doing it and using a different way to get down the mountain. Claire said I skied like a was riding a snowboard at first with one foot in front of the other. I only did it for about 2½ hours but after a while it started to come back. It's all about putting your weight forward and rolling the ankles.
Bods, it's not a mono ski, it's just good technique. |

Just a quick one. Been busy and I'll update soon. I'll just leave you with this pic .......

9 years after I last stuck skis on and just for the afternoon, not bad. Don't worry, I'm certainly not turning back to the darkside. |
