I actually bought myself a Rome Anthem from Zero G in the end, I only went in there for a look!!
I think I could have actually got the board cheaper of the net than what I paid, but I haggled a bit and got them to throw in some Skully Candy earphones id had my eye on for a while and next day I was hooning down Grand Montets and Flegere on my anthem with tunes banging and a huge smile on my face....wouldn't have got that if id have waited for an interent delivery!

Troll returns. I work at Zero G snowboards in Chamonix and sure, you can find cheaper elsewhere. The online stores and discount shops can, and often do, have the same items we do at cheaper prices.

Generally you'll find that resort shops don't do massive end-of-season clearouts as up here, the stuff will be desirable at a moderate promotional price (as opposed to big reduction of 50% plus) the following winter. We have higher rent than them.

That said, there's always a good deal on if you are flexible about type / colour / age of product. I like it when people come in, give me a very low budget and tell me they need a board, boots and bindings. I'll dig around and ALWAYS get them out of the shop paying the price they want, for gear that is infinitely better than some of the 'supermarket' brand stuff in the same price bracket.

Zero G wasnt cheap 2 weeks ago although they did have a really nice special blend jumper in the sale. Went back to buy it the next day and it had gone!

The shop mentioned before nearer the square (other side to zero G) is really small but well priced. I bought a really nice analogue tshirt there and they has quite a few deals on

Zero G wasn't cheap a couple of weeks ago! You might get lucky but I doubt it with the strength of the euro vs the squid at the moment. Make sure you have researched prices here before you go and know what you are prepared to pay for what.

When I was there last year there was a shop on that same stretch that zero G is on but closer to the main square... slightly down an alley next to a restaurant that was doing 2 for 1 on everything in the end of season sale... even boards and bindings... Only had allian boards though. Quite a cool shop could realy haggle with the owner on prices

Not sure on sales, but you could always pop into Zero G and ask for Tom (Tomn_w).
