I have the salomon Ivy's and have found them really good for learning in them, tho after about 10 weeks using them i'm getting some new boots (Prob salomon F20's as i had the chance to try them for 2 days on the mountain and they were really comfy) as they're now too soft.

Completely randomly, if anyone happens to be a size 5 (i'll check the actual size of the boots if anyone is interested) and wants them they're welcome to them for free (well, postage if not local). Nothing wrong with them, they don't smell or anything like that, but they would be suitable for someone learning and better than rentals, but would be too soft for anyone with a couple of weeks experience.

My Salomons are definitely not wide fitting specials. It may be that I have thin ankles as I was getting monstrous amounts of heel lift in my 32's, but as I said - try all the boots you can and dont take too much notice of which boots people say will fit based on a quick look/you description of your feet...

Normal fitting Salomons (non wide) are well known to be good for people with narrow ankles as they help lock down the ankle and stop heel lift.

would that to apply the salomons ivy????... as these are the boot's they suggested I get.

three snowboard shops have all said to prawny that she has very slim feet (and i shouted "yeah right! floppy clowns feet more like".. but thats another story.......(clears throat) ...and the burtons are all no good
so they (all three) advised Salomen because they are the narrowest boot on the market (give or take) however the posters on this thread are saying they are for a wider foot??

i should have taken up Lawn bowls

seems so. I have an accessory navicular (my extra special bones) too which gives me super sore feeties. I've had no soreness issues at all with the 32's.

I had real trouble getting new boots because my feet are reminiscent of Frondo Baggins.
But my 32's are wide enough and fit like a slipper due to the heat moulding

Some Salomon boots are have a wider fitting. you can tell those ones by the "wide fitting" tag they sew on them - maybe you have some of those?

I totally agree with you. My old (RIP) Salamon Dialogues were awesome, super comfy BUT once again it's all down the individual.

I would ignore a lot of the things said about certain boots for certain shaped feet...

I have fairly wide feet (had to have wide shoes when I was younger and everything lol)

When buying my first boots the shop looked at my feet and said they are wide you will need 32s and so I bought some. After years of trying varous things I was never happy with the fit.

Second time round I was a bit wiser and tried on different makes regardless of what was supposed to fit. I found the Salomons were streets ahead than anything else for me in terms of fit and comfort. This is despite every man and their dog saying Salomons are for thin feet only.

PMSL, why not get the chizel out and take the end off my toe off.

I did ask about getting the inner boot heat molded but the guy at Noble's said the Northwave Concepts cant be molded.

If your toe is rubbing, wear them barefoot with a bit of sandpaper over the offending toe. 1 hour later problem solved. Shorter toes!
