| It's not about whether they are bad or good - are they right for you? A boot may be amazingly comfortable for one person - & be utter pain for another. |

If you shop around you can find some better boots for the same price
if they fit well and they are comfortable and are of the right stiffness for your riding, the boots are good
boots are personal |

| hmmm, i was always part of the "if they feel comfy, then they're fine" brigade. But that post was exactly how my boots were when i got the oppurtunity to try some high end new boots on the slopes for a couple of days. Lower end boots are going to soften up more and quicker and you won't believe the difference a new higher end pair of boots makes, it was like learning to ride all over again and once once sorted it cleared up all foot aches and calf aches that i had been getting. My original boots had only been used for about 8 or 9 weeks so they weren't that old either. |

I have had a fair bit of burton gear over the years, some good some bad
only had 1 pair of burton boots. these lasted 1 week, by the end of the holiday the back of the boot had collapsed and rubbed a blister on my achilles the size of a 50p.
burton to be fair gave me a full refund, well TSA did after burton had confirmed a manufacturing flaw |

QUOTE (beefbops - 20/04/2008 @ 14:11:06) Hey There, Im thinking about buying a pair of Burton Motos, anyone had good or bad experience with them ? Im kind of in the frame of mind that if its Burton then they must be good. In my experience it has actually meant the opposite. I had some Burton SL7's which were their top boot of the time, and very expensive. After a week of riding they were completely useless, so I personally will never touch anything Burton ever again. |

| Sporty - contact Burton in Austria and they'll hook you up. It's the same as Vans Boa 'strings' - never seen them sold separately either. |

07 Motos here. Had them for well over a year now. They were comfy when I bought them, but now they're like a favorite old pair of carpet slippers. I have recently worn them on two trips and didn't have any problems at all.
My only concern, now they are getting older, is that the speed lacing system appears not so easy to get spare laces. I haven't actually looked that hard in all honesty, but I've never noticed them in shops like I have with normal laces. Might be worth getting some spares 'just in case' |

If they fit your feet well, then they're good. Don't believe the hype - the best boots you can buy are the ones with the best fit for YOU. |

I had various Moto's. Most recently the '07 models which are pretty much the same as the '08s.
To be honest, they are OK but a bit of a false economy. Pretty comfy and have the burton speed lacing system but a bit soft really (and get softer with use).
I would pay the extra and get Rulers or something similarly intermediate/advanced if you are going to hang onto them for any length of time. I've switched to Salomon f22s which seem pretty good so far.
