Boots need to be snug. When trying boots on, toes should be touching the end, but not painfully. Then bend down into your boarding stance, and the toes will come away from the end. If anything, you should be getting your regular shoe size, if not one size or half size smaller.
When you do get your own boots, try a few on, but more importantly, go to a store like TSA, Snow&Rock and get your feet measured |

also i think salomon boots have moudable toes bits in the end. I tried a pair and stood in the chalet they felt much too small as my toes were feeling like more than brushing the end, however the salomon reps were taking their van up to the slopes and staying by the bar so i decided to try them and ask the reps to take my old boots up with them. I kept the boots for 2 days and love them and will be getting a pair when they bring them out. (the reps were lucky to get the boots back  ) |

Hm, perhaps next time I go I'll see if they do Half Sizes then and try 9.5s. The 9s certainly weren't uncomfortable... just my toes pressing against the end occasionally made me think maybe they were very slightly undersized... but after you saying that I might be wrong and they're just right. Course when it comes to buying I'll be doing a hefty amount of trying first... my feet are weird sizes anyway

Just what Nick says....all the manufacturers sizes vary slightly in width and length you have to try them on first....
Rule of thumb I was always told your toes should just touch the front of the boot when you apply pressure forwards in your boot. I have size 6 hooves and wear a 5.5 Northwave boot but I was in a size 6 32's. |

| No way of telling, each make of boot will come up different so as always try as m,any pairs of boots on before you buy, what works for one person might not work for you |

Question... I'm a way off getting my own stuff yet, so it's all been rental from MK so far. Now Normally I'm a Size 9, but I've heard a few people say you should go a 1/2 size bigger in Boarding boots. I had a 9 last time and they were generally tight fitting and pretty comfey with one exception... When on my toe edge, I could feel my toes pressing against the end of the boot which I'm guessing is probably a bad thing. Is the 1/2 a size larger than normal rule fairly accurate while still keeping them tight enough?
