spoiler = hi backs
strap bucklers = ratchets
anyhoo the dial that adjusts the hi back lean is fine ive yet to have a problem other than it popped out when it wasnt set flush to the binding but thats nothing to do with it being weak :S |

I'm with you, they have just arrived and they look awesome, can't wait to try them out. I was told they have the regular triad backs under the padding so even if they get ripped up they'll still do the job. You can't put a price on looking good! |

My cartels bought this year are a bit week on the little spinner that allow you to setup the angle of the spoiler... And one of my friend which have the exact same model from this year have the same issue!
The strap bucklers are getting a bit weird after a while.
Apart from this they are really confortable and technicle bindings! |

QUOTE (naturalfreeride - 28/04/2008 @ 16:17:05) Or if you want to get really pimped, go for the triad lounge. yeah if you want pimped out at the sake of durability
the lounges look like theyd get ripped to pieces after a few weeks although they do look mighty fine with the leather cushioned high backs although i could be wrong but id say getting in and out would take its toll on the leather after a couple of weeks but if youre not a seasonaire i wouldnt worry about it
ill stick to the normal triads |

Just completed a season in Val d'Isere and found that upgrading my Ride LX to Burton Cartels made a huge level difference in my riding. I would deffo advise the cartels as the have proven light, reliable and a great all mountain binding. I further support this statement after trying a selection of bindings over the season Burtons, Raidens, Salomons and Rome etc
My best bit of advice would be to head for bindings at the top of your price range . If you buy intermediate bindings you will probably only be saving a small amount of cash and you will soon out grow their performance level |

Are the auto's the ones where there is only one rachet? I tried some K2 ones that had that earlier this month, personally, I couldn't get them tight enough - even with adjustments. It wasn't just me that found this either |

| Thanks for all the advice. To answer my own question, I tried next years K2 Auto bindings for 2 days in Morzine (thanks to Darren at Subvert) and although I found they were a little uncomfortable around my ankles, the difference in performance was noticable. Fantastic response and control so I think I'll be looking for new bindings soon. |
