| Nothing is ever guaranteed and November is going to be extremely hit and miss as it's so early season. Most resorts in Europe don't open till the week before Christmas. |

hi all, sounds like there are a few possibilities listed in this thread, but is Canada the best bet for the weather. my son is planning his first trip, and would be very disappointed if the weather conditions were poor. unfortunately he's not able to wait until the last minute to book, so we're looking for a more guaranteed location. cheers ... |

Such a long way with a risk of bad conditions. I was wondering if it is practical to leave it to the last minute with long haul. And then head where the snow is, maybe even a BC cat ski operation. Would the flights cost a packet if I didn't commit early?
I think this would be pretty easy to do in Europe. |

Book the time off and rally at the last minute.
Went to Tignes & Val d'Isere for opening week at the end of November 2006.
It was decidedly average. Austria on the other hand was getting pounded. But we'd committed to accommodation so France it was |

| I was at Kaprun / Kitzsteinhorn on the weekend 20th October 2007 and we had 40cm of new snow. Guess that was just lucky though. These things can't be a sure bet. |
