long term we may get some more snow by Wednesday night... and a lilttle flurry or two over the next day or so, but nothing major.

After a bit of riding today I can only confirm all djshaw posted. We certainly need more snow, and my board needs rebuilding, but the off-piste was certainly fun......

The Les Crosets park isn't due to open till tomorrow according to the pre season plan on their site. There is a comp on the 13th so hopefully it'll be up and running for our arrival in Champery on the 14th.

Looks like major dumpage is predicted next Thursday/Friday on the early forecasts, but maybe a little rain on Tuesday.

I would imagine there will be a fair bit of snow falling next week (without looking at the forecast) as I will be out there from a week on Sunday.
Glad to hear things have picked up and that there is enough snow for people to have a fine time.

thanks for that - semi promising but no let up in the snowdancing. Bring it on Snow-Gods, dump on us and we will reward you with crazy down-hill antics.

Just a quick update on conditions for anybody coming out here any time soon.

Quite a bit of snow this week, a lot of which fell as rain in Morzine. Resort runs to Morzine are still pretty much unridable. Once you get up to Avoriaz though everything is fine, patches of ice here and there but coverage is pretty good and it's not really icy at all.

I've found two open parks, a tiny one in right at Avoriaz and one with some bigger jumps further up the hill somewhere (Arare?). Nothing at Les Crosets yet though and no pipes open.

Off piste is pretty good, there are a few places that are obviously hiding rocks ready to trash your base but generally as long as you are careful you can go anywhere.

Certainly the place needs more snow to cover up the last of the dodgy off piste, cover up some rocks poking through the piste and make some of the browner areas white again, but overall the place is very ridable and an enjoyable holiday will be had by anyone coming.
