Many thanks for all the replies sofar. I guess the tickets for the contest I can get there. Will definitvely also hit the slopes at least for a day if not two. How about the afterparty, any idea whether you need to buy ticktes specifically for this in advance? Thanks again, Paddy

I'm wondering if they are going to actually be throwing themselves down the ski jump......could be interesting!
I'm not a big shopper....but you never know what the stalls would be hence the question....i mean do i need to take my own food etc?

Last year it was up at Midtstuen which is on the tram line out towards Holmenkollen ( below the church and ski jump ).Yes there are a few stalls selling gear and an organic food stuff ..
Got told afterparty was 'full of kids' but we pissed off elsewhere.. oh, and the real low down is its £6.ish a pint !! Hip flask and tinnies essential

I'd be more interested in watching the uber pros than what stalls there were.

Revision #1 (Last edited: 16/01/2008 @ 15:40:39)
I went last year, day after Terje banged out the 9.8mtr back 3

It was fantastic to watch all the Pros but would try to combine the trip with some sliding of my own, if travelling to a country with snow.

TAC have there own web site and you can get a good idea by havin a search on YouTube of the quarterpipe comp.

I'm in Oslo visiting friends when it is on and trying to decide if I should go (I hate crowds), It should be brilliant!
The Website is good but doesn't give too much idea about what will be there i.e. stalls etc.

Hi, I'm considering going to Norway for teh Arctic Challenge this year, just to check out the party and watch the contest. Anyone ever been there, any tips? Is it worth it?
Thanks, Paddy
