Mid to late April, if you had to book one place id opt for Espace Killy, (Tignes & Val D'isere), Huge area, very well linked with two Glaciers, most of the slopes are high up anyway, slopes of all aspects to catch the best of spring conditions. Not to say that anywhere could be awesome just depends on the weather, a cold snap is forecast for the next few days so snow won't be detorating in the immediate future. Also when ppl say things like aim high etc you should be focusing on the altitude of the terrain and not the village.

Serre Che, whilst one of my faves, is a low resort.. it does have pretty good vertical (meaning you can still get to good snow up top when the base is melting) but I wouldn't count on it being good in 2 weeks time..

Forecast to thaw to the summit this week so that's gonna spoil things too:

I'd aim high or go north to Sweden/Finland/etc..

Try Val Thorens, highest resort in Europe. There is loads of snow there now and more forecast over next week or so. Resort Height is 2300 metres, so even resort runs are not to bad this time of yr. Hope this helps!

Hi Brian.. My crystal ball tells me Canada everytime.. look at snowforecast.com
Fernie still has 3.6m of the white stuff and powder is still being reported at Banff...
And better still, I'm heading out there on Wednesday...
Cheerio....
p.s. Monarch from Man or London to Calgary is a decent deal everytime...

I know not many of you will have highly effective crystal balls, just looking for a few clues as to which resorts (from experience) are most worth keeping an eye on.
