U can download red vs blue in the 360 dashboard, very cool stuff.
I was gonna pick up Amped 3 this week, but having read this forum think I'm gonna wait till I've played a demo.
Probably best to wait for Amped 4.
Anyone else downloaded Gauntlet in Xbox Arcade yet ?
Most amusing playing a first gen game on a latest gen console.
4 players on live, great fun. |

Thats a good point BF... I gave away my 360 pre-order to someone else because I wasnt satisfied with the launch titles. I can wait till the next batch without a problem. You do kinda get the impression that some of the games were being developed for the XBOX and halfway through someone said, hey lets put this out on the 360 instead.
Halo 2 was the best (non-sports) game of the past few years for me, the live system was brilliant and I spent many hours on it. So you cant measure my excitement for Halo 3... will have to deal with watching Red Vs Blue until then!
Anyone seen RvB?

yup - defo think some of the titles were rushed. Worst example has to be the stuff from EA games. Most of the 06 sports games they released had better graphics, but less gameplay than that original XBOX/ PS2 versions! That's a joke - plus they are charging more.
There are also reports of frame rate issues with some games - namely quake. For a next gen console this is unforgiveable.
Give it 6 months time and i reckon there will be some quality titles available. Developers need to code 360 games from scratch and not do ports from the older gen systems. For this reason i reckon some of the lesser known developers will produce some real gems.
Still looking forward to what they do with Halo3 - launch date supposedly will match that of the PS3. |

I'm not bothering with Amped3. I checked out its pants review on IGN before getting my 360 yesterday and they're usually pretty spot on with the reviews. Think it only got 6ish/10. I saw some demos of it in High Def and it still really didn't show off the capabilities of the 360 at all. I think it's a shame that so many of these Launch titles have been rushed, and ruined as a result. PGR3 is superb, although without High Def, as IGN said its more like PGR 2.75 
Glad that they haven't rushed Ghost Recon for launch date as that really does look promising. Until some better titles come out that actually utilise a bit more of the technology available, I think I'll make do with PGR3. |

How disappointing. Seige assures me its cos his tv isnt high def but i was still expecting better. Amped 3 doesnt look THAT different to amped 2, though will probably still be fun, seems to have a more in depth sort of story, but we didnt play for that long.
Perfect Dark and Call of Duty do look very nice, as does PGR3, but i was expecting better. Havent seen condemned or kameo yet, i think i'll enjoy kameo, but overall im disappointed.
Come on ps3 and revolution! |

Just got Seige his 360 for xmas, and a copy of amped 3. It looks cool to me, i like the ssx games so i dont mind a bit of fun, will see how it looks when i get back (30 mins till home time) 
And you start in Northstar! I can spend the whole first part going "I'VE BEEN THERE!!!!!" 
As for the ps3 or 360 debate, i reckon the ps3 looks better. But thats probably just cos i love my ps2. Xbox seems to have a limited appeal. FPS or sports, no decent RGPs really, Fable was quite good, and i've heard morrowind is good, but PS2 has LOADS of rpgs, and thats my kinda thing. I'm expecting much the same from next gen. It seems theres a lot more games from Japan on sony and nintendo.
Rumours are the ps3 is due out spring next year, which means by the time sony actually release it it'll prob be xmas 06. Graphics wise from the little i've seen they both look stunning, but im not hugely bothered about graphics. FF7 is still one of the best games ever, crappy-ish (in comparison to newer games) graphics, but still ace!

The reviews are out and it's not good news. Probably the weakest of the trilogy. Not sounding particularly next gen either.
Project Gotham Racing is looking like the best launch title at the moment and potentially Perfect Dark. |

Am a bit concerned about Amped 3 - seems to have gone down the ssx route a little too much. Button bashing to pull off tricks and stupid cartoon effects.
