| The name illuminati I'm sure can be made into a logo in an infinate number of ways. An idea why your firm chose the name Illuminati? Any reasoning behind it? |

I dont have any experience of these boards inparticular, but i do have plenty of experience buying snowboards and generally you get what you pay for.
I would seriously suggest you stick to the better known brands. If anything they have much better re-sale value when you decide you want to upgrade.
At this time of year (end of season) shops are selling off stock at crazy prices and you should be able to find a good deal on a quality product.
I agree with many of the posts here that you should spend out on boots first. you could check out magazine reviews for boards and bindings at the start of the new season in november so you know what your looking for |

I've come to the same conclusion as you R the S... and which ever way you look at it as a punter i felt let down especially with the after sales feedback i got. Then you find them popping up on here trying to sweeten it up...
And just to give some feedback on the board itself as i got one, the illuminatti 'air', and it is shocking... there is no pop or flex of any sort, it is very rigid but still doesn't seem to hold an edge without chatter and the factory base was really slow and sticky... waxing didn't seem to improve it and even after deep waxing it still didn't seem to take... it is currently being used as a new and very expensive shelf in my office, i don't envisage me ever taking out on another slope again... oh well. |

I assume one of three things happened - that you copied the Illuminati US logo and registered it here; that Illuminati US copied your logo; or that entirely by chance either you or Illuminati US arrived at a very similar logo and registered it with no prior knowledge of the older brand's logo (which I find highly unlikely unless either you or Illuminati US neglected to do any research whatsoever into your name or logo design, which would be unusual and stupid). Since the first seems the most likely, why was this done if not to trade on the name of a better-known and more premium brand?
Just in case anyone is unsure quite how similar the logos are:

Hey!
The boards were actually designed and produced before I started working here, as far as I am aware, we own the trademark in the UK, which is why we can use it on our boards and bags that we produce. We own the rights to use the Illuminati logo here, so that's why the logo is so similar.
If you'd like a bit more info about it I can get back to you about that.
Boards wise, we're almost sold out of the Illuminati ones, so this year we've got a different range coming in.

Hi guys! My name's Steph and I'm graphic designer and also the webmaster for skiwear4less.com. I've just been checking out links to us on google and I found this forum topic. I've noticed some varied opinions on our snowboard package. Last years deal included the Illuminati boards, can I just say that the manager of Ski Warehouse owns the Illuminati trademark in the UK, thats why we can use it on our boards. They're not rip offs as we own the rights to use the logo.
I just wanted to say that if anyones got any questions about any of our boards then feel free to ask away. I'd be happy to answer any questions or queries that you have. For this winter we're getting some wicked Pale boards in, so we'll be bundling those up in a deal for anyone whos interested.

Looks like the equivalent of a £99 full-suspension mountain bike from Halfords - appears to be the real deal but ultimately not fit for purpose..
At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.. simple as. Pay peanuts = get kit suitable for a monkey.. |

This board is NOT an illuminati board by that company, it is a euro company playing on the name as the us company doesn't have copyright outside the us... check out this thread:

personally i wouldn't touch the company with a barge pole... as someone said to me just after i had bought the board
"buy cheap, buy twice" and that is exactly what i am doing, the board was awful, no pop, terrible base and edges, sure it's ok the hack about in a snowdome or on a dry slope but on the mountain it was abysmal.
there are a lot of cheap boards from 06/07 out there at low prices by reputable companies... you'd be much better buying from them.... even if it means you can only afford boots and bindings which imho are the most important thing... especially being able to try boots on first. |

I cant help you with your set up however i noticed that you said "Running for more than 2min on toe edge is just PAIN"
this is a problem in itself, I guess you are doing this on cat tracks, try mini carves, i.e constantly change from edge to edge even if teh track is on a slight camber, it keeps your legs and feet moving ensuring that cramp doesn't set in. Also keep relaxed
I also couldn't help noticing that you have admitted to "and used blade's for the rest of the day....." you really don't wanna be saying things like that lol |

Hi,
I got this £179.99 skiwear4less deal last year.
DO NOT BUY IT!!! Waste of money, time, and your holiday!!
The board I think, is good. Its taken a fair bit of punishment.
The Boots for me are OK, but not the best. I had to completely re-lace them because they were laced up wrong!
The bindings are very BAD!! getting a new set of bindings before I use the board again.
This setup has very bad toe edge control. Running for more than 2min on toe edge is just PAIN PAIN PAIN to the point crying! Friends how have tried the setup discover this problem in seconds. Friends how have tried it think the bindings are the problem.
Put it this way, I used the board for half a day, gave up and used blade's for the rest of the day..... |

| The board probably isn't that bad, although I've never ridden one so can't say for sure. Bindings it's a bit difficult to tell from the image, I'd steer clear of any boots that you can't try on though (as everyone else has said basically!) |

Definitely agree - I bought a 2nd hand pair of 32's from ebay and used for a while, but were not a good fit, so f###d my feet - until I went and got a pair fitted - best buy ever - cost £120 but just come back from 15 days and was like walking on air - makes all the difference!
So....definitely get boots sorted first and if you've got a bit of budget left then maybe look for an ex hire board/bindings from a rental place, as they are likely to be a good deal (as long as not too smashed up!) and possibly the same price as hiring anything for a week. |

| It's just that bad boots will cripple you on the slopes and ruin your day/week snowboarding. I wrecked my heels with bad boots when i first started....still have two scars the size of a tangerine on the inside of each heel. |

Its too true - you're better off investing your money in boots - if you buy them in a package you could end up with something that isn't right for you, meaning you'll have wasted £179 on a setup that you can't use comfortably when you could have had a brand spanking, wonderfully comfortable and cosy pair of (Thirty Two) boots for the same price!  |
