and remember Kingston and the blue and white "liquid news" logo lol

I joined straight away too, but didn't really post until i started grad school two years ago and didn't have anything better to do... Although i did meet someone off here that i went boarding with 3 seasons ago right after i joined which was cool.

If i'm in a rush and not using my computer i won't log on as it sometimes times out when logging in. Also i think some people want to make it look like they aren't on here as often as they actually are

edit: just noticed there are 9001 members! Any idea of how many are still active?

I joined yonks ago - number 718, and remember Kingston and the blue and white "liquid news" logo, not the Era one we've got now!!!

I think I signed up straight away, as it didn't take much convincing to be a member. What I didn't do was post like crazy, hence my relatively low post count per years online!

Wasn't it going to be an olympic sport?

It was a much smaller community when I joined too but I think I posted more back then than I do now. There were a few very funny sessions (washing machine thread!) ...

I did make a few too many posts when I joined. Mainly trying to offer advice as best as I could even though I didn't really (and still don't) know what I'm going on about. If all the misc posts were counted as well then I'd look even sadder

EM - that was a concern of mine, but then I thought 'what the hell'. I'd seen a few posts from newbies where people had been patient & posted responses, rather than someone saying 'check the archives, we've covered this'.

I also 'watched' for a few months before joining feeling for some reason that I should only join once I thought I knew a bit more about snowboarding..

I 'watched' for a while before I signed up & posted. I think I signed up when I realised everyone was nice & helpful rather than arrogant & anti-newbie.

Crikey mate, you must have blitzed the forums when you first registered as you haven't been a member for that long. :p
